Rakija (rah-kee-yah) is the catch-all term for any kind of spirit distilled from fruit (and not just fruit) and it translates to ‘brandy’.
Drvarski Sir. One of my favourites, from the area around the small town of Drvar. It's tasty and a medium hard cheese.
Great to eat accompanied with rakija.
As you walk along Gospodska, you'll notice small alleyways that lead to an amazingly quaint, but until recently a rather run down, area of mainly gold and silver shops and trendy coffee bars.
I might be wrong, but this area is called Stari Zanatski, roughly translated, means "Old Craftsmen".
I got to meet Mario Franjić, who was a member of the Jugoslavija National four man Bobsled Team in the 1984 Olympics held in Sarajevo. A big man with a big personality.
