It's become somewhat of a tradition this past decade, to take one, maybe two, 10 day breaks in Montenegro, based on the area surrounding the walked town of Kotor.
We had previously taken "breaks away" in the Istria region of Croatia, but with the expansion of tourism there (and the associated rise in the cost of living due to the influx of wealthy visitors), we decided to decamp to Montenegro.
It's a 8.5 - 9 hour drive (non motorway) for us from the village. A picturesque route We like to take an overnight break these days, so this time stopped just south of Mostar.
We have our Montenegro routine perfected.
Chill, Chill, Chill. Repeat.
Having my brother, Trevor, visit (flight direct from London Gatwick to Tivat with Air Montenegro), was a cool addition to our plans.
As it was his first time in Montenegro, we tried to keep the info overload to a minimum.
But we managed to introduce him to some local food and culture.

We also slow walked around Kotor itself, climbed San Giovanni (the impressive fortress overlooking Kotor Bay) and a speed boat ride to discover some of Montenegro's coast line.
Trevor brought with him, my new action camera, the DJI Osmo Action.
I just HAD to try it out during our nearly 3 hour speedboat ride.
Here's the result. Hope you enjoy it.
